Training Philosophy

1 on 1 Private Lesson to give you and your dog(s) the undivided attention needed to be successful. These sessions are great for basic obedience, leash manners, house manners, resolving some minor behavior problems, and work towards a CGC or Trick Dog Title.

Perfect for someone who is willing and able to work with their dog everyday and to complete the "homework" given at each lesson.

During a B&T Program, the dog lives in my house under the consistent enforcement of a trainer 24/7. We create a structured routine of feeding, obedience training, house manners, crate training, and daily outings/walks. This allows your dog to experience real world training situations on a daily basis, maximizing learning potential. 

This program is for someone who wants their dog to be Off-Leash Trained, may have a dog they do not know how to handle, or simply does not have the time to lay the intensive groundwork needed to attain your training or behavioral goals with their dog.

Schutzhund is not something "taught in a few weeks"... Schutzhund is a sport that becomes a hobby and lifestyle for both you and your dog. It is detailed, precise, and requires dedication and time to train.  Whether you are highly competitive or would love to learn a new hobby, Schutzhund is a great avenue for high drive/high energy dogs and motivated owners.

Through Private Lessons, you can learn the concepts of Schutzhund training, theory, and applied methods. We also offer Board & Train for of any length of time to meet your Schutzhund goals.

Squared Away Dog Training is now proudly offering 30-minute structured exercise walks in the Upper Cape area.  These structured walks are oriented to upkeep your dog's training and maintain proper behavior and control on outings.  Whether you are at work, out for the day, or just have a busy schedule, SADT can add healthy exercise and stimulation to your dog's day.  The walks from start to finish will include teaching and maintaining doorway/threshold manners, enforcing no pulling or reacting, no chasing bunnies or cars, automatic sitting at stops, and more.
